Color Expectations & Designing For iGen3 Output

    File Submission

The primary methods for the transferring of files to ColorCentric for mastering and production are:

    1. FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
    2. Email (if size permits)
    3. CD/DVD

    FTP

ColorCentric has a secure FTP site where we provide clients with their own user name and password, thereby protecting their files and allowing the addition or deletion of files by authorized users.

    * As mentioned previously, ColorCentric operates a Windows based network, making it imperative that if files are sent to ColorCentric from a Mac based system that those files are either Zipped or Stuffed. Failure to do this will result in corrupt font and, possibly, image files.

    Email

ColorCentric provides a project manager to each of our accounts and it is acceptable for clients to forward files via email directly to their project manager. However, email is an indeterminate method of file transfer, so it is preferred that our clients use FTP wherever possible.

    CD/DVD

Oftentimes, clients feel comfortable burning their design files and all accompanying support files to either a CD or DVD. This is a more than acceptable form of file transfer and these discs may be sent directly to the client's Project Manager.

    * It is not necessary when sending files via CD/DVD to Zip or Stuff the files.
